How correcting works
Every transcript starts as a machine draft. Listeners make it right, one line at a time.
Why the text needs you
A wrong word hides a talk from search. If the text spells a word differently from what was said, nobody finds that moment. An accurate original is also where any translation into another language has to start.
Fix a word
- Open a talk and play it. Tap any line to play from there.
- When a line sounds different from the text, choose “Fix” (✎) for that line. On a computer it is in the panel on the right, on a phone in the bar at the bottom.
- Use “Play this line” to hear it again, then change the text.
- Choose “Send the suggestion”. A short check that you are a person may appear first.
After you send
An editor listens and reviews every suggestion before it changes the text. Some are not accepted, for example when the audio is unclear.
There are no accounts. What you send is not shown with your name.
The person check keeps automated spam out. It does not ask who you are.
